A metaverse is a story of a world. Back in the days constructed by words of novels, now by complex algorithms and programming languages. It brings to life characters, places and intrigues, and offers us the ability to immerse ourselves and influence the storyline in ways not possible ever before.
Trying to capture the essence of a metaverse in a few elements of a brand identity is an exciting challenge - a little bit like being asked to design a book cover for the first edition of a book. An adventure and a privilege perhaps.
Artemis is a mystery and a promise. And every mystery needs a symbol - one that can mark a path of an acolyte, open a secret passage or adorn a flag high above the fortress of the Matriarch...

The Artemis Mark is the base for all of the identity and the main navigational device of the website. It is constructued by combining the letter A with stylised geometry of deer antlers - an important element in Artemis' mythology.
The colour palette originates somewhere between fantasy and cyberpunk, with a nod towards natural, earthy tones. Typography on the other hand adds a more futuristic touch with selected letters being treated with simplified geometry.
All this is combined with imagery generated using AI, a choice that felt natural in this journey into purely digital world.
Trying to visualise a world before it is actually created is not an easy task. What you show can not be too definite - the story is being writted and it's prone to interpretations and change. Neither can you use imagery that is too neutral as it will deter visitors.
To find that fine balance we turned to AI. Since the world we were building was to be purely digital, it felt appropriate to allow a digital entity to visualise it.
We needed an aesthetic that could evolve and change as the story of Artemis is being created, one that leaves some place for imagination and allows for a spark of magic - an illustrative style that can become as photorealistic or as abstract as needed.
This is just a little sample of it.
